Natural History Museum
As part of the House of Collins Summer of Fun & Adventure, we took the kids to the Natural History Museum. It was a great day, My mind is still boggling at the size of the dinosaurs which was a favorite for both the kids and the taller people.
My parents joined in on the adventure which evened the odds (four kids, four adults), though I still think they had the advantage on us. My mom had visited the museum in her youth and yes I made the joke about the Museum wanting to include her in the exhibits. She gave me the appropriate look and lack of laughter the joke deserved.
The shirts match the background.
It was Homeschool Day at the museum and Jamie was quizzing Jonathan about his observations of the different dinosaurs.
Emmalee was not impressed.
One of the exhibits was the Butterfly Pavilion. This was Jamie's favorite. There were simply butterflies everywhere. It seemed at times that the butterflies were posing for me.
It was a great trip. I absolutely recommend it. Knock the iPhones from your kids' hands, unplug the xBox and throw the kids in the car. Go be amazed by the diversity of God's creation.
