“Around 3 AM, when things really got crazy” she explained to the officer, holding a towel against the cut on her forehead.

“Was this before or after the goat got free” asked the officer, turning a page back in his notebook.

“Oh no. That happened right after the vote” she answered, removing the towel to see if the bleeding had stopped.

“Now why was there a goat there in the first place?”

“I think it was supposed to be a comment on the lack of volunteers. It didn’t make much sense to me, but I missed the last PTA meeting.”
