 She finished the last line of the song with a small smile, enjoying for a moment the lingering minor chord from the piano, bringing the song to a close. She had first sung the song as a child, finding it in her father's record collection. She sang the song for herself now.  Too many words and too many emotions going through her all these years had taken its toll. Her heart felt weak, uncertain in its cadence, off time and dragging behind. This song brought her back, reminding her heart how to beat.
