"It was never quite like that to me." The conversation had not gone well. His brother had come over to help him move but the same three boxes still sat by the front door. "It was easier for you because you were too young to see the problems they were having. They never took it out on you." His little brother didn't understand what it was like to know that he wasn't wholly part of the family. Didn't know what it was like to feel responsible for the breakup of a marriage.
His brother laughed. "I shot Dad. Not Mom."
