I love photography.

Photography is proof of life. It is the evidence of what has been and may be no more. The perfect day. The first kiss. The moment when you straddled youth and adulthood.  The baby in your arms. The friend who has gone on to days without end.

It is the legacy my grandfather put into my hands and it is the scribe of my children's lives.  

The wedding photo, the baby announcement, the christmas card, the graduation announcement are all a record of sacred moments that we use to help shape and define the identity of our family. I love to take pictures of people because I feel that I become part of their family, even if just for the moment it takes for the shutter to open and close.

When i am not trying to get people to "look over here" and smile, I am a high school English teacher.

I am also the husband of the most wonderful woman in the world and the blessed father of four wonderful children who sometimes drive me crazy.

We also share a house with a cat that I'm not crazy about.
